This visit of Ovation of the Seas brought out the news teams on the ground , with camera and drone, as well as a helicopter, reminiscent of previous times when so many news helicopters flew over the cruise ships as they entered port.
The ship departed one hour late and in the course of the waiting there was a brief but reasonably strong rain squall which certainly had many onlookers dressed in T shirts and shorts scrambling for cover.
However the rain died down and for those who stayed it was pleasant to watch this magnificent ship with sky blue hull sail out of Outer Harbor.
And for me personally as I took a cruise on her on her maiden voyage in 2016 from Adelaide to Sydney and again in November 2022 for a wonderful cruise to New Zealand. The videos of these particular voyages can be found on my youtube channel Train Lord showing all aspects of the ship including its fine interiors and port visits.
