Disney Fantasy Westbound Transatlantic Cruise 2025 | Day 6 | Madeira | 4x4 Port Adventure

Day 6 of our 13-Night Westbound Transatlantic Cruise on the Disney Fantasy brings us to the stunning island of Madeira, and it turns into one of the most scenic port days of the entire crossing. We head out on a 4x4 port adventure, climbing from sea level straight up to Madeira’s cloud-kissed peaks for jaw-dropping mountain views. Along the way, we try the island’s famous poncha, explore lush landscapes, and bounce down off-road tracks that still manage to put JB to sleep. Back in Funchal, we wander the city in search of the perfect Portuguese tart, stumble upon the Cristiano Ronaldo statue and museum, and sample a bit of local culture before returning to the Fantasy. As night falls, we watch the twinkling lights of Funchal’s harbor drift away during sail away — one of those postcard-perfect cruise moments. The night continues with dinner at Animator’s Palate, another attempt at TV Theme Song trivia, and a stroll through the decks to admire some impressively decorated stateroom doors.
