This was our last night on an Alaska cruise, sailing through the Inside Passage back toward Vancouver β and then this happened πβ¨
A pod of around 12 orca whales, from young calves to fully grown adults, began swimming alongside our cruise ship. They played in the shipβs wake, jumped from the water, and spun effortlessly as if putting on a show just for us.
Moments like this are why Alaska cruises are unforgettable. Calm seas, wild nature, and a once-in-a-lifetime orca encounter that left everyone onboard speechless.
If you love orcas, wildlife, or Alaska cruising, this is a moment you donβt want to miss.
