This was our very first time cruising with Princess Cruises after years of sailing with Carnival, and we were excited to see how it compared—starting with our deluxe balcony cabin! Here’s what we loved: 🌟 Tech upgrades – Princess uses a medallion instead of a Sail & Sign card. The door unlocks as you approach, and your name is on the screen by your door. 🔌 Tons of charging options – USB ports and wall outlets were everywhere. A total win for three adult women traveling with phones, flat irons, and all the essentials. 🛋️ The couch was actually comfortable – I slept on it all week without needing it pulled out, and it was 10x better than the one I had on Carnival’s Conquest (my back still remembers that trip 😩). 🚿 Modern bathroom – A see-through shower and great layout. 👗 So. Much. Closet space – Enough room for 3 women packing for 7 nights! 💻 WiFi that actually works – This was a huge plus for me. 📺 Real TV options – Sports, kids’ shows, and movies—not just cruise ads 24/7. Although Princess and Carnival are part of the same cruise family, let me tell you—they are two completely different experiences. Both have their own vibe, but Princess is quickly winning me over with their modern touches and comfort. 💡 Pro Tip for Booking with Princess Cruises: Princess often runs “3rd & 4th guest sail free” promotions—which can be a great deal! But don’t rely too heavily on the countdown timer shown online. I’ve personally seen a sale that claimed to have 50+ hours left, only to find that the offer had already changed the very next day. 😩 👉 So if you see a deal you like, book it while it's live—because there's no guarantee it’ll stick around.
