š¢ Deluxe Balcony Cabin Tour | Sun Princess ā Our First Princess Cruise! šāØ
Welcome aboard the Sun Princess! We typically split the cost of a cabin evenly, however, I acted as the travel agent & technical support for this trip. My mom and aunt allowed me to sail free, only paying my port taxes & fees and my own personal expenses. It was a true blessing!
This was our very first time cruising with Princess Cruises after years of sailing with Carnival, and we were excited to see how it comparedāstarting with our deluxe balcony cabin!
Hereās what we loved:
š Tech upgrades ā Princess uses a medallion instead of a Sail & Sign card. The door unlocks as you approach, and your name is on the screen by your door.
š Tons of charging options ā USB ports and wall outlets were everywhere. A total win for three adult women traveling with phones, flat irons, and all the essentials.
šļø The couch was actually comfortable ā I slept on it all week without needing it pulled out, and it was 10x better than the one I had on Carnivalās Conquest (my back still remembers that trip š©).
šæ Modern bathroom ā A see-through shower and great layout.
š So. Much. Closet space ā Enough room for 3 women packing for 7 nights!
š» WiFi that actually works ā This was a huge plus for me.
šŗ Real TV options ā Sports, kidsā shows, and moviesānot just cruise ads 24/7.
Although Princess and Carnival are part of the same cruise family, let me tell youāthey are two completely different experiences. Both have their own vibe, but Princess is quickly winning me over with their modern touches and comfort.
š” Pro Tip for Booking with Princess Cruises:
Princess often runs ā3rd & 4th guest sail freeā promotionsāwhich can be a great deal! But donāt rely too heavily on the countdown timer shown online.
Iāve personally seen a sale that claimed to have 50+ hours left, only to find that the offer had already changed the very next day. š©
š So if you see a deal you like, book it while it's liveābecause there's no guarantee itāll stick around.
And heads-up: Princess doesnāt always price match previous promotions, even if it was better just the day before. I learned that one the hard way!
