21-Day Trans-Pacific Cruise: French Polynesia Tahiti Moorea & Raiatea Highlights Quantum of the Seas

Welcome back to our incredible 21-day Trans-Pacific cruise adventure! In this third video of our series, we're diving deep into the heart of French Polynesia, exploring three stunning islands: Tahiti, Moorea, and Raiatea aboard the magnificent Quantum of the Seas! Our journey in French Polynesia began in Papeete, Tahiti, the vibrant capital. Despite some mixed weather with overcast skies and rain, we experienced the warm welcome of local musical performances and explored the beautifully landscaped waterfront park. The bustling Papeete Market was a feast for the senses, filled with amazing local crafts, intricate jewelry, and fresh produce – perfect for finding unique souvenirs! We also caught a glimpse of the impressive Papeete Cathedral. After a dash for shelter and a quick lunch during a sudden downpour, we returned to the ship for an absolutely captivating Polynesian dance performance in the Royal Theater by a local troop! Next, we sailed to the breathtaking island of Moorea. The weather improved slightly, allowing us to truly appreciate Moorea's famous beauty, from its calm, inviting waters and beautiful beaches to the magical, jagged mountains that are simply awe-inspiring. You’ll see the Quantum of the Seas perfectly anchored in a picturesque cove, offering incredible views! Our final stop in French Polynesia was Raiatea, a charming tender port. We arrived in Uturoa and were once again warmly welcomed by a local performance, showcasing the rich Polynesian culture of music and dance. For a much-needed break, we highly recommend Pâtisserie Bon Appétit, where we indulged in delicious coffee and yummy pastries! We also browsed the local markets, finding colorful clothing, beautiful jewelry, and plenty of souvenirs. Despite getting caught in another sudden downpour while waiting for our tender, our time in French Polynesia ended on a high note as the sun finally made an appearance, casting a stunning glow over the outer reef and shimmering water as we sailed out of Raiatea.
