Where can you go for FREE Mahogany Bay Snorkeling? You won't believe what we found when checking Mahogany Beach for a snorkeling adventure under $1 in Roatán. Come join us as we explore how to snorkel for free at Mahogany Bay. With just our own snorkel gear and a sense of adventure, we dove into crystal-clear waters right off the beach, and it didn’t cost a dime!
We arrived on the Enchanted Princess cruise ship and skipped the paid excursions in favor of a self-guided snorkeling trip. After a short scenic walk from the cruise port, we reached Mahogany Beach, found free lounge chairs, and headed straight for the snorkeling pier. Bring your own snorkel gear like we did, and you’re all set for a completely free underwater adventure!
Don’t have your own gear? No worries, snorkel rentals are available near the beach at a reasonable price (about $20 for a full set). Either way, Mahogany Bay offers easy access to shallow coral reefs, colorful fish like parrotfish, snapper, and even blue tangs, all within swimming distance of the shore.
