Today we’re sharing one of the most dramatic moments from our Antarctica cruise aboard the Sapphire Princess — scenic cruising past Deception Island, a still-active volcanic caldera in the South Shetland Islands. Although we weren’t permitted to enter the harbor this time, we had an incredible port-side balcony view as we sailed past Neptune’s Bellows, around the striking rock formation known as The Needle, and along the rugged northern shoreline.
