Welcome back viewers!!!
Today we are taking you through Cabin 11406 - A standard balcony cabin on the Carnival Encounter. Located on Deck 11 on the Port side of the ship, this balcony cabin has enough room for 2 people to comfortably move around and relax without feeling too cramped.
We stayed in this room during our cruise on Carnival Encounter from Brisbane to Airlie Beach and back and had a really good stay. The cabin is located towards the front of the ship and is only a short walk away from the front elevators.
The decor is a little bit dated, granted she is an older ship.
The room was spotlessly clean, our cabin steward Norlan was full of energy and very helpful and the "cooler" really did keep things cold which was great for the bottle of wine and energy drinks we bought on board with us.
The cabin was set up for us with one king bed but this can be split into two twin beds if you are not travelling with your partner. There is plenty of cupboard space, a functional bathroom, a sitting area complete with a hair dryer and of course a balcony with a small table and seating for 2.
Carnival Encounter has many balcony cabins, the great thing about deck 11 is the coverage from the deck above. You have enough cover to sit out on your balcony without getting rained on or being exposed fully to the sun. Deck 10 and 9 have bigger balconies but they do not have the same amount of coverage so it would not be fun to sit out there when it is raining or in the full sun without any shade.
Balcony cabins are a great choice as you get a little bit of extra space. You also have fresh air anytime you want and can view scenic ports right from the comfort of your own cabin without having to go up to the public spaces. Great for scenic cruising.
We hope you enjoy this video, if you have also stayed in this room tell us what you thought about it, we would love to know.
