Tahiti – Waterfalls, Gardens & Local Life | Cruise Stop in Papeete

Join us as we step ashore in beautiful Tahiti, where our cruise ship docks right in the heart of Papeete. In this episode, we set out on a local island tour that takes us around the coastline, through lush valleys, and into the heart of Polynesian culture. Our adventure begins with breathtaking views from the ship and a close encounter with a sea turtle right in the harbour. From there, we visit Venus Point, famous for its historic lighthouse and striking black volcanic sand. We continue on to the spectacular Three Waterfalls of Faarūmai, where the jungle path leads us to dramatic cascades surrounded by lush rainforest. Next, we explore the peaceful Botanical Gardens at Papeari, home to rare tropical plants including the vibrant African Tulip Tree and the dazzling turquoise blooms of the jade vine. Chickens and roosters wander freely here, adding to the charm of the gardens. Finally, we stop at the mystical Mara’a Grottos, with their fern-framed entrances and shimmering freshwater pools.
