From Auckland to Sydney 🇳🇿➡️🇦🇺 | Exploring Devonport & Our Cruise Finale

After five relaxing days at sea, we arrive in Auckland, New Zealand, ready for our final adventure before sailing home to Sydney. Docked right at the base of the city, we step straight off the ship and into the heart of Auckland — a city that always feels alive with energy. This time, instead of revisiting the main sights, we follow a tip from a fellow cruiser and take the ferry across to Devonport, a charming seaside village just twelve minutes away. We stroll along Victoria Road, browse the local boutiques, and stop at a cosy pub for some classic New Zealand fish and chips. On the return trip, the Auckland skyline looks beautiful from the water. Later, we explore Queen Street, enjoy rooftop drinks with harbour views, and end the day at The Shucker Brothers oyster bar inside the historic Ferry Building — where we even meet someone from near my hometown in South Australia! Finally, it’s time to sail for Sydney Harbour, where we disembark and reflect on what an incredible journey this world-cruise has been.
