Transatlantic cruises can relaxing, fun and even a cost effective way to cruise when compared to the cost of a traditional round trip cruise. The reason I ultimately decided to book two transatlantic cruises this summer is because I wanted to travel to Europe with my mom who has health issues that make long-haul flights challenging for her. So I booked our outgoing journey on the Queen Mary 2 which transported us from New York to Southampton in the UK. Then I booked a return voyage on the Carnival Valor which brought us from Barcelona, Spain to New Orleans. Later in the video I will tell you what I paid for each cruise and compare it with the cost of flying.
