Visiting Pearl Harbor for the first time | Pride of America Cruise Tour

It's my first time visiting Pearl Harbor on the second day of my Pride of America Cruise Tour. We arrived early at Pearl Harbor and were able to explore on our own for the entire day. I was able to get into the Arizona Memorial via waitlist, despite the memorial currently undergoing renovations. It was an emotional and heavy day seeing a place where so many people lost their lives back when Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1945. I was able to explore the USS Missouri, a Navy battleship that my Grandfather served on as head of the Marine Detachment back in 1947 when President Harry S. Truman and his family joined the ship in Rio de Janeiro to sail back to Norfolk, VA.
