Join me as Azamara Quest visits beautiful Québec City on my Canada intensive cruise down the St Lawrence River and along the US East Coast.
Sailing into Québec City feels wonderfully European, with its fortified walls, cobbled streets, and historic buildings overlooking the St Lawrence River. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Old Québec is compact and ideal for exploring on foot, with highlights including Château Frontenac, Place Royale, and the charming Petit Champlain district.
We spent the day wandering around this beautiful city before joining an excellent food walking tour, booked through Viator. It was a fantastic way to experience Québec’s culinary scene, with a focus on local flavours and regional specialities, while learning more about the city’s history along the way.
The day ended with one of Azamara’s signature AzAmazing Evenings, held inside the historic Québec Armoury. This special event featured an intimate piano concert by Steve Barakatt, a celebrated Canadian composer and pianist. Experiencing live music of this calibre in such a unique and historic setting was a truly memorable way to end the day and perfectly showcased Azamara’s focus on immersive cultural experiences.
This video offers a quiet, visual look at Québec City and life on board Azamara Quest, focusing on beautiful places, meaningful experiences, and the charm of small ship cruising.
