The cruise ship Satoshi (P&O Pacific Dawn / Regal Princess) - may have just been saved from the scrap yard!
Built as Regal Princess in 1991, the ship sailed as Pacific Dawn for P&O Cruises from 2007-2020.
However during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Pacific Dawn was laid up.
She was sold to Ocean Builders in late 2020 to become a Cryptocurrency community off the coast of Panama and renamed Satoshi.
That venture fell through, and the ship looked set to be scrapped in India alongside her sister ship Karnika / Pacific Jewel.
However it now appears Satoshi will sail on, with a new owner. The ship has arrived at Bar, Montenegro, and is docked alongside NCL's Norwegian Jewel awaiting future cruising.
