In this candid and humorous vlog, Jules shares her post-visit thoughts from a location in Jordan — starting with a positive experience at a place called Qasr Al Hallabat where the manager, Benna, provided great insight.
The vlog quickly pivots to a raw and unfiltered account of the realities of using public toilets in Jordan. Jules offers essential advice for travelers:
Always bring toilet paper.
Wear strong leg muscles or cords — because most toilets are squat-style, not seated.
Be prepared for surprises. At one stop, a cleaner used a bucket of water to flush, and the disinfectant smell lingered long after.
Despite visiting five different toilets in a single day, Jules only found one acceptably clean — which she hesitated to film, fearing it might trigger “smell-o-vision!”
In a hilarious moment of desperation, she jokes that travelers should consider wearing adult nappies with loose clothing to avoid unpleasant restroom experiences — especially outside hotels or culturally maintained venues.
My final observation: "There’s not a bush in sight" — making natural alternatives impossible in the Jordanian desert landscape.
