Join us for a full Fred. Olsen sea day onboard Borealis as we explore ALL the surprises, activities and magical moments you can experience on a Norwegian cruise — including the famous Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony!
We started our morning with a sit-down restaurant breakfast before heading out to discover just how much is happening around the ship. From craft classes and cooking demonstrations to line dancing, jigsaws, bar billiards and cosy corners everywhere you turn, there’s far more to a sea day on Fred. Olsen than you might expect.
We also tried the premium Afternoon Tea in the Observatory, complete with beautiful views, live music, sandwiches, cakes and scones (including savoury ones!). But the highlight of the day came later…
Crossing the Arctic Circle with King Neptune, a very brave captain — and yes, even a fish-kissing ceremony!
As Borealis sailed north towards Narvik, we enjoyed unbelievable scenery, crisp Arctic air, a northern lighthouse on the horizon and one of the most peaceful evenings of the entire cruise.
