Awesome cruise from Flam on very large electric Cat to Aurlandsfjord to Aurland and Naeroyfjord to Gudvangen. This Fjord apart from Geirangerfjord is the only 2 fjords that meet the criteria to be world listed by UNESCO. It is beautiful cruise that only takes couple of hours as it only stops for minutes at Aurland and Gudvangen. Naeroyfjord is branch of larger Sognefjord. Enjoy this incredible region by this modern cat that accommodates 400 people safely. There is some talk by locals that this is the way of the future, to protect these pristine waterways that cruise ships may have to stop coming here in the fjords. If this happens it will be better for environment but incredible loss for Norway. These villages of Flam (population of 250) and next stop on cruise Hellesylt (population 180) has approx 850,000 tourists by cruise ship per year. This will destroy their economy if they can't come up with a viable alternative solution. Let's hope. It would be a terrible loss for the world but if generations want to keep enjoying a pristine, picture-perfect Norway than it may by the smaller electric craft allowed only into fjords.
