Let’s discuss the nine most common questions people ask about cruising on social media.
Should you fly the morning of the cruise or after the cruise?
Always flying the day before the cruise to avoid missing the boat and the potential stress and anxiety associated with flying on the day of the cruise. Always book a flight after midday on the day of disembarkation since cruise companies want passengers off the boat by 9:00 am.
The second question is about tipping, gratuities are a hidden cost that Australians may not be used to. However, until the issue of crew wages is sorted, tipping will remain a necessary element of cruising.
The third question concerns the $200 hold on passengers' bank accounts when they book a cruise. This is standard practice and recommends budgeting for it.
The fourth question is whether cash can be used onboard. You can use cash on board it is accepted at customer service and the casino, and passengers can add money to their onboard account during the cruise to cover expenses.
The fifth question is about food on the ship. Complementary food options are available, including formal dining and casual dining with buffet-style options. However, there are additional items like specialty dining, chef's tables, and wine or whiskey tastings, which are charged extra.
Six Don’t hog sunbeds or solariums,
Seven, don’t push in at the bar or buffet.
Eight, be kind to the crew who work hard to make passengers' cruises enjoyable.
