In this UTOPIA HALLOWEEN CRUISE and ship tour , I will take you around the ship and to the Halloween festivities happening on the UTOPIA of the SEAS. Welcome to @diazondecktravel.
Boarding the ship in Port Canaveral is very fast and efficient thanks to Royal Caribbean very organized staff. From the time we parked to the time we set foot on the ship it was less than 10 minutes. It really does pay to arrive early. Hopefully that is also your boarding time
As soon as we boarded the ship, we were welcomed with all types of Halloween decorations and music, and even some passengers who boarded with their costumes. It was really quite the site to see. Later that evening, as I prepared my costume, which was Elvira mistress of the dark, I anticipated all of the things I would be doing. There was about five different festivities all Halloween related… A Halloween parade, a Halloween party and a few family Halloween events. It was quite entertaining to watch all of the costumes and see what a great time everyone was having.
The sports deck on the utopia is quite the spot for views, whether sunrise or sunset, or for just enjoying the sports court, dry slide, and the Flow Rider. Have you ever ridden the Flow Rider? Did you wipe out? I would love to hear your stories.
The next day, our first stop was in Nassau and pulling up this time was quite a different scene. We got a first look at the Royal beach club less than two months away from being completed. They are aiming to open on December 23 which is about a week earlier than they anticipated. I love that they are running ahead of schedule on all of their projects. As we talked, you could see the many crew and construction workers on the island and they were very busy. You could really see it, taking shape from the renderings that we have all been privy to recently. Later on in the day as the sun came out, the view was even better and you will see that also in this video. After a short walk around the touch cruise port, it was back to the ship to enjoy the amenities. It’s always entertaining to see how many ships have pulled into Nassau. Midday we had been joined by two other royal Caribbean ships and a Disney ship for a total of four ships in Port at the same time. Getting back to the ship while others are on land is always a great the as it is somewhat less crowded.
Later that night, it was on trivia at Spotlight, karaoke, dance lessons, and Latin music in boleros, and the best espresso martini in the schooner bar. It was a wonderful day.
The next day, it was perfect day at Coco Cay , and really it was perfect. On this particular visit to the island we chose to visit South Beach, which is part of the included areas in your cruise fare. On the island most everything is included, except for an up charge to the waterpark, or to the hideaway adults areas on the island, and drink drinks unless you have a drink package. There are special areas that are for children and families to enjoy. We arrived at South Beach fairly early, got a prime spot right in front of the water, and enjoyed the views and amenities. We opted in for chicken sandwiches and hamburgers, complementary, at the beach shack. Now we were joined by another of Royal Caribbean’s midsized ships, so, as the day progressed the beach did get somewhat crowded, but nothing horrendous. Just before leaving took a little tour around the oasis lagoon pool, where people were enjoying the refreshing water and towards the back area of the pool the swim bar. This island truly has something for everyone and it truly was a perfect day. Tell me about your perfect day at Coco Cay and what you did there that made it so perfect.
