Stepping out of the balcony into a Florida port, bags arrive around 4 PM, then the sail-away party kicks off. Back in the cabin to film the suite tour, desk paperwork left by the cabin attendant, stocked bar and canapés, and a peek at the big bathroom and private deck. Off to an early dinner at The Reserve with cruise buddies, a toast in our friends’ cabin with cabin bubbly, and a quick check-in at muster stations with the safety video. If you cruise, you know the first day chaos, all of it somehow smooths into a perfect evening at sea.
