During a stretch of particularly rough seas, the main swimming pool on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas turns into its own wave machine. Watch as the ship's motion sends huge plumes of water crashing over the sides of the pool deck. In this video: [00:00:01] The water begins to swell and surge in the pool as the ship tilts. [00:00:05] A massive wave splashes high over the glass partitions. [00:00:13] Another heavy roll of the ship creates a huge secondary splash. [00:00:23] Watch the intensity of the water movement as the "rough seas" effect takes over the deck area. Recorded on 4th November 2011 in the Bay of Biscay. The Captain reported gale force 7-8 with 10+ mtr swell. Quite a few people left the ship after this.
