Day 1 of our Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Celebration Cruise to Portugal and Spain began with embarkation in Lisbon, Portugal. We flew from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Lisbon on the same day as our cruise, a risky move, but everything went smoothly. After landing, we took advantage of the Virgin Voyages luggage drop off service, which allowed us to explore Lisbon stress free while waiting to board the ship. For this sailing we were kindly given RockStar status and also purchased the Splash of Romance package, which added some extra luxury to the experience. Embarkation was seamless and once onboard we headed straight to the Sip Lounge for a glass of champagne. We used this time to update our dining reservations and watch the mandatory safety information video before starting to explore the ship. The afternoon and evening were packed with highlights. We enjoyed time at Richard’s Rooftop, joined the sail away party, and dined at Pink Agave for the first time, which quickly became a favorite. As night fell, the celebration continued on the pool deck with a special DJ set from Mel C of the Spice Girls. We ended the night at the PJ party in The Manor before grabbing late night pizza from The Pizza Place. An unforgettable start to our Scarlet Lady cruise adventure.
