@diazondecktravel the talk again is about cruise tip rumors, holiday & spooky cruises.
Have you ever been on a holiday cruise?
I’ll be venturing off on a spooky season cruise. Royal Caribbean has been celebrating spooky season from end of September all the way through October with different activities and parties. Get your costume picked cause you’re going to need one. What costume do you guys think I should choose?
Have you ever ever done a cruise that celebrates a holiday? I sent some of my clients on a New Year’s Eve cruise and they said it was the best New Year’s Eve hey ever had. I would love to hear from you. What holiday cruise have you gone on and how was it?
Well, let’s talk about it again… The ever loving subject of tipping. John Heald, Carnival Cruise Lines Ambassador , snapped back at an influencer that implied that onboard gratuities th do not go to the staff on board. She implied that they are pooled into the overall company & used to supplement crew members pay. He said that that was absolutely untrue that they are well and able to pay their crew members a salary, and he did not appreciate rumors being spread by influencers. My thoughts you ask? If you are that concerned, I suggest that you pay your gratuities in cash to the people you would like to personally. They definitely appreciated and there is nothing like seeing the smile on their face when they get it. How do you prefer to do your tips? Comment down below I would love to know your opinion. I relate a story about the tipping situation when I first started sailing in the 90s. There were no onboard gratuities charged to your account. You were delivered envelopes to go ahead and tip in cash to whom you wanted. Watch the video for the funny story.
I hope you will join me as one of the 21.7million cruisers that are expected to sail the high seas in 2026.
I look forward to SEAing you on deck, but remember bring your costume.
