Cruising from Hamburg to Rotterdam In October of 2025, I boarded the MSC Poesia cruise ship in Hamburg, Germany, to sail up the River Elbe, across the rough and rocky North Sea, down to Rotterdam. Because the ship was docked here in my home port, I took the subway to the port and was onboard in 35 minutes after leaving my home! That is luxurious for sure.
