EDIT:
The protocols listed on the Tasmania Health Department's Facebook page have been amended to state that these measures MAY be enacted only if positive cases of COVID are identified onboard. At least there has been some clarity, if you can call it that.

The Tasmanian Department of Health announced new protocols for arriving cruise ship passengers this week. After posting the details on Facebook with a list of requirements that included all cruise passengers requiring a mask at all times while ashore, the department made some changes.
As of the time of posting this video, the current restrictions for arriving cruise ship passengers are:
All cases identified will be required to isolate in their cabin
All passengers will be required to return a negative RAT prior to leaving the vessel for shore activities
Disembarking passengers are required to wear a mask in indoor spaces while ashore
Tour companies and volunteers will implement their Covid safe protocol plan
Continuation of good hygiene practices
Arriving by air? No such restrictions exist. A resident of Tasmania that’s diagnosed with COIVD? No isolation requirements are imposed.
The hypocrisy and yes, stupidity of these “protocols” brought out my creative side… apologies in advance. I might try to keep that side more hidden in future haha!
Thanks for watching.
