🚢 Welcome aboard Freedom of the Seas! This is Episode 1 in our brand-new cruise vlog series—and it’s going to be a fun ride! 🎥 We're sailing on just the second cruise since Freedom of the Seas came out of dry dock after a major $116 million amplification, and through this series, we’ll be showing you some of the ship’s newest upgrades and improvements. From updated venues to brand new ones, you’ll see what’s new and what’s still classic Royal Caribbean fun. In this video, we take you through our embarkation day experience at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 🌴. Whether it’s your first cruise or your fiftieth, we’ll show you exactly what to expect from check-in to sail away. 🛏️ Once on board, we head to our cabin—and it’s a small one! We’re staying in one of the ship’s standard interior cabins, and we give you the full tour. If you’re wondering how small it really is, or wonder whether you can comfortably cruise without a window or balcony, this room reveal is for you. 🍽️ In the main dining room, we discovered our table assignment was not to our liking But don’t worry—we walk you through how to request a table change (it’s easier than you think!), and we ended up with a perfect spot with sail away views. 🌅 Dinner with a side of ocean? Yes please. 🎭 Then it’s showtime! We catch our first production show of the cruise—Freedom Ice—performed in Studio B ⛸️. This onboard ice skating show delivers energy and impressive choreography that really sets the tone for the entertainment to come. 🎧 To wrap up our first night, we stop by Olive or Twist where the silent disco got underway—there’s nothing quite like watching people dancing in silence (and Wil couldn’t even yell “I love this song!” because in this video, he’s keeping it quiet thanks to some laryngitis—don’t worry, he makes up for it later in the trip 😂. We finish with a stroll down the Royal Promenade, enjoying some live music to cap off day one 🎶. 🛳️ This is just the beginning of our Freedom of the Seas cruise adventure!
