Remembering Isaac Hayes - Theme From Shaft. And cruising past Dumbell Island and Chalkie's Beach.

Isaac Hayes was born in Covington, Tennessee, U.S.A. in August 1942, and sadly passed away in August 2008 at 65 years of age. Hayes started his musical career as a Songwriter, and with his song writing partner David Porter, wrote a lot of songs for Sam & Dave, and other artists. He had his own breakthrough when he did musical score for the film Shaft in 1971. From 1997 through until 2006, Hayes voiced the character of Chef in the South Park animated series too. So let's honour Mr Isaac Hayes by listening to a Remix of the great instrumental track that he did (and sang a little bit in too) called the "Theme From Shaft" while our Catamaran cruises past both Dumbell Island and Chalkie's Beach (on Haslewood Island) in the Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia.
