Carnival Adventure To Leave Australia After 2028 | Carnival Fleet Strategy Update
Carnival Cruise Line has confirmed that Carnival Adventure will sail seasonally in Australia through April 2028 before relocating to North America for the Northern Hemisphere summer season.
The move reflects Carnival’s evolving global deployment strategy amid shifting market conditions and regulatory uncertainty in the Australia–New Zealand region. Company leadership cited an “uncertain regulatory environment” and increasing operational complexity as contributing factors behind the decision.
Despite the redeployment, Carnival will remain the only cruise operator maintaining a year-round presence in Australia. The 2027–2028 season will feature expanded homeports and itineraries across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
Country Manager Peter Little reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to the region, with plans to welcome approximately 1.2 million guests across nearly 400 voyages over the next two years. The company also highlighted the cruise sector’s economic contribution to Australia, supporting around 22,000 jobs and generating more than $7 billion in economic impact.
Following its Australian season through early 2028, Carnival Adventure will expand opportunities in North America as the company aligns its fleet strategy with stronger demand trends and supportive market conditions.
