Just in time for the new year, Norwegian Cruise Line has officially announced the return of Free at Sea Plus. This is the update many of us cruisers have been waiting for.
After Norwegian briefly retired the Plus version during the short-lived More at Sea rollout, the cruise line has reversed course and is bringing back a plussed-up Free at Sea package with some major upgrades. Under the new Free at Sea Plus, you’ll find top-shelf drinks, unlimited Starbucks, streaming Wi-Fi, prepaid gratuities, and more.
In this video, we break down everything you need to know about Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Free at Sea Plus, including:
• What’s included (and what’s not)
• How it compares to the standard Free at Sea package
• How much it costs per day
• Who is eligible to book it
• When it officially launches
• And whether it’s actually worth the upgrade

🚢 Applies To Sailings: Departing February 1, 2026 and beyond
⚠ Free at Sea Plus is only available on reservations that already include NCL's More at Sea or Free at Sea inclusion package
We also talk about a few quirks we’ve noticed, including how gratuity credits are applied, why the shore excursion credit didn’t get a “Plus” upgrade, and what we expect regarding stateroom purchase rules.
We’ll be testing Free at Sea Plus ourselves on Norwegian Aqua starting February 1 and will report back with a real-world review!
Stick around until the very end… we left a fun blooper surprise for anyone who makes it all the way through. Trust us… it’ll leave you smiling.
