Planning a cruise that departs from Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City? In this video I guide you through everything you need to know about the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, including how to get there, nearby attractions, transportation tips, and what to expect on embarkation day.
The terminal includes Pier 88 and Pier 90, home to cruise lines like Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, Disney Cruise Line and MSC. Its central location in Manhattan makes it one of the most convenient cruise ports in the United States, only a short walk from Times Square, Hudson Yards, Central Park and the High Line.
If you only have a few hours during your cruise stop in New York, I also share a quick itinerary featuring SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, Fifth Avenue and Times Square. You’ll also hear practical tips about what to avoid during your visit so you can make the most of your time.
In this guide I also explain how to get from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, and I highlight something many cruise passengers don’t know: several transatlantic cruises from Barcelona and Europe finish their journey here in New York, and some itineraries also operate in the opposite direction.
If you enjoy cruise content, remember that I have many more guides about ports around the world, including Barcelona, Malta, Palma, Helsinki, Riga and more.
Thanks for watching, and let me know in the comments which cruise line you’re sailing with from New York.
