In our WanderFree Retirees Caribbean cruise series, we visit Belize—and experience one of our most challenging ports so far.
Like always, we explore without booking an excursion, starting with a walk around the cruise port area. While Belize is known for incredible adventures like snorkeling and Mayan ruins, we wanted to see what it’s like if you just stay near the port.
What we found… might surprise you.
Between the loud atmosphere, limited relaxing spaces, and overall vibe, this stop didn’t quite match our travel style. In fact, we ended up spending a good portion of our time sitting on the tender boat, sharing our honest thoughts about whether Belize is worth it if you don’t plan an excursion.
This video is part of our mission to help you:
