Welcome aboard for Embarkation Day on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, our final sailing before she heads off to the US.
After a massive week at work, this short 3‑night getaway cruise was exactly what we needed, sunshine, smooth boarding, great food, and a full day of fun with Ali’s parents, Jim and Sheila (this was a cruise to celebrate Sheila's 90th birthday), who are still cruising strong.
We've been on this ship before but this time we decided to try some things that we didn't do last time. Chops Grill, Ice Odyssey and Silent Disco in this video and watch out for Rob showing off his surfing prowess on Flowrider in the next one.
We start with an easy, stress‑free check‑in before heading to Windjammer for lunch and a look at the buffet options. Then it’s straight out to the Sailaway Party on the Lido deck with some great live music and dancing.
Things didn't let up for the evening either:
• The spectacular Ice Odyssey ice‑skating show in Studio B
• A belated 90th birthday celebration for Sheila at Chops Grill
• The high‑energy 70s Party in the Royal Promenade
• And a hilarious Silent Disco in High Notes nightclub
We planned to finish the night listening to the guitarist in the Pig & Whistle… but after a huge week and a huge embarkation day, we were absolutely shattered, in the best possible way.
If you love cruise vlogs, Royal Caribbean adventures, and seeing how to truly relax after a busy week, you’ll enjoy this one.
