CABANA DRAMA. In this week’s episode aboard Virgin Voyages' Resilient Lady, we make our second port stop of five and explore the beauty and chaos that was Barbados. Our group cruise with Melanin at Sea started strong as a group of us branched off to take a trip to the famous Harrison’s Cave, where we toured the underground wonder and learned all about its formation and discovery. But the beach part? That’s where things went sideways... 😤 I arrived at Copacabana Beach with a pre-paid cabana reservation — only to find out they gave it away. Management claimed they “didn’t see the list” and many of us in the group were left without the VIP experience we booked. I was mad. REAL mad. But I tried to turn things around and still enjoyed beach time in a reclining chair with friends.
