Van Morrison was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in August 1945. He started off his musical career as the lead singer of the band called Them, which formed in April 1964. They had some big hits such as "Baby, Please Don't Go" (1964), "Gloria" (1964) and "Here Comes the Night" (1965). Van Morrison didn't last too long in Them though, around two years. He left the band in the middle of 1966, and he began his solo career in the following months. His first big solo hit was "Brown Eyed Girl" (1967). Morrison released his third solo Album in January 1970 called Moondance. The title track "Moondance" was actually a big hit for him as a Single from the Album too, along with "Crazy Love". In November 1970 he released his fourth Album called His Band and the Street Choir. The best song and a Single from that Album (one of my personal favourites too) was "Domino". In July 1972 Morrison released his sixth Album called Saint Dominic's Preview which spawned a popular Single called "Jackie Wilson Said (I'm in Heaven When You Smile)". In August 1979 he released his eleventh Album called Into the Music which featured the brilliant song "Bright Side of the Road". In February 1982 Morrison released his thirteenth Album called Beautiful Vision which featured an awesome track called "Cleaning Windows". In June 1989 he released his nineteenth album called Avalon Sunset which featured his masterpiece song (used at thousands of Weddings, even to this day) called "Have I Told You Lately". But today we have a Remix of his great Ballad called "Days Like This" which was the title track to the Album released in June 1995. We are having a night time cruise on the Brisbane River (Turrbal: Maiwar), enjoying the views of the Brisbane City with all the lights on, including the incredible Story Bridge that is all lit up.
