Queen Mary 2 Eastbound Transatlantic Crossing | Vlog Ep 5 | Cunard Cruise Experience
Join us for Episode 5 of our Cunard Queen Mary 2 (QM2) Eastbound Transatlantic Crossing as we take you through another unforgettable day aboard the world’s most iconic ocean liner. From sweeping bow views to late‑night dancing at G32, this episode is packed with everything we love about life at sea.
In this vlog, we start our morning with our daily ritual—heading up to the QM2 Observation Deck for those unbeatable views over the bow and along the ship’s sleek superstructure. Gavin even headed down to Deck 7 so I could capture some fun shots from above, really showing off the scale of this incredible vessel.
Next, we made our way to the Mareel Spa Thermal Suite, where our full‑voyage pass continued to prove its worth. It’s the perfect place to unwind during a sea day.
Lunchtime took us to the Golden Lion Pub, where we enjoyed a classic pub lunch (and a Brooklyn Lager, of course). Afterward, we hopped into the panoramic lifts—which always give us Willy Wonka vibes—before heading out to the Promenade Deck for a few laps. Three laps equal one mile, so it’s a great way to walk off lunch while soaking up that fresh Atlantic air.
We couldn’t resist snapping a cheeky photo with a life ring, and standing beside the Commodore’s Cufflinks gave us an epic perspective of QM2’s towering superstructure.
Later, we visited the Pavilion Pool, complete with its retractable glass roof—ideal for cooler days at sea. A quick swim offered amazing views of the ship’s iconic red and black funnel.
Before dinner, we stopped by the Carinthia Lounge for a pre‑dinner drink, then made our way through the Grand Lobby for a dressed‑up selfie. Dinner tonight was in the stunning Britannia Restaurant, QM2’s beautiful Art Deco‑inspired main dining room.
The night didn’t end there! We headed to G32, Queen Mary 2’s late‑night nightclub, for a silent disco—one of our favourite activities onboard. Watching everyone dance to different songs is always hilarious. When the silent disco wrapped up, one of the onboard bands kept the party going. Time flew by because we were having such a hoot!
