CRUISE ALERT: New CHANGED, Dangerous Weather & Sickness at Sea
Oceania Cruises has officially announced that beginning January 7, 2026, the line will accept guests aged 18 and older only for all new bookings.
If you already booked a cruise with children before this date, your reservation will still be honored.
This move places Oceania alongside Virgin Voyages and Viking, making it one of the few cruise lines fully focused on adult-only cruising.
According to the company, the goal is to create a more tranquil, upscale onboard environment.

Next, a serious weather-related incident in South America.
At the port of Ushuaia, Argentina, extreme winds caused an expedition cruise ship to break free from its moorings and collide with another vessel.
Reports say winds averaged 30 knots, with gusts reaching 40 knots, or about 46 miles per hour.
The 10,000-ton World Voyager snapped its mooring lines, struck the pier, and then collided with the much larger Viking Octantis, which weighs over 30,000 tons.
Around 125 crew members attempted to control the ship, but the wind strength made it impossible.
