When I first went on a cruise, I packed everything I could think of. I was so excited for the trip that I wanted to be prepared for any situation. But, as I went on more cruises, I learned to be more selective in what I bring. I realized that there were a lot of things I packed the first time that I never ended up using. Now, I make sure to only pack what I know I'll actually use.
On longer cruises, I've also learned to appreciate the convenience of paying for a laundry service. It helps me save space in my suitcase and I don't have to lug around a heavy bag everywhere. And since I have to fly to the mainland first, I have to consider weight restrictions for my flight when planning what to bring. I have to think hard about what I can and can't take so that I can stay within the weight limit.
