Recently, a tragic incident occurred aboard a cruise ship anchored off the coast of France when a 61-year-old woman from England was found unresponsive in her cabin. The ship’s medical team was immediately called to the scene and performed CPR for over 30 minutes in an attempt to revive her. Authorities confirmed there were no signs of foul play, and early indications suggest that her death was due to natural causes. Although such incidents are rare, cruise operators note that deaths at sea are not unheard of, especially on voyages with older passengers or long itineraries.
