Is an Alaska cruise really the bucket list trip everyone says it is? In this video, I share the honest highs and lows from our recent cruise through Seward, Juneau, and Ketchikan. From glacier views and wildlife to tourist traps and surprise border control – this was not the Alaska cruise I expected!

We’ll start in Seward where we visited the Alaska SeaLife Centre, the Seward Library & Museum, and enjoyed delicious reindeer sausage soup at SeaSalt.
In Juneau, the Mendenhall Glacier took our breath away — but so did the number of jewellery stores crowding the streets. Meanwhile, Ketchikan offered a more authentic feel, thanks to a spontaneous tour to Potlatch Park, local storytelling with Dana, and a wander down historic Creek Street.
I’ll also share what surprised me the most (hint: it wasn’t the weather!) and what I’d do differently next time. If you’re planning an Alaska cruise in 2025, don’t miss these insights, travel tips, and real talk from the deck! Perfect for first time cruisers, seasoned cruisers and anyone heading to Alaska!
