Join us for our final adventure onboard the Hebrides Cruises Lucy Mary as we explore the beautiful Scottish town of Tobermory and enjoy our last full day at sea. After a hearty breakfast, we sailed through dramatic West Coast scenery before docking just a short walk from Tobermory’s colourful waterfront.
We began with a delicious two course lunch onboard before heading into town to visit some must see spots. With the weather changing, we returned to the ship early and set off for a peaceful, secluded mooring where we were treated to rare wildlife sightings along the way.
Our final evening included an incredible three course dinner, relaxing drinks, and a presentation from the captain as we reflected on our unforgettable voyage. On our final morning, we enjoyed one last breakfast and scenic sailing back to Oban to disembark.
If you’re planning a Scottish cruise, researching Hebrides Cruises, or love travel vlogs from Scotland, this video gives you a full look at the experience aboard the Lucy Mary. Watch until the end for wildlife, food, scenery, and the perfect finale to our West Coast adventure.

Hebrides Cruises is a family-run small-ship operator based in Oban, offering intimate, luxury wildlife and island-hopping cruises along Scotland’s west coast, notably through the Inner and Outer Hebrides and beyond. Their fleet currently comprises three ocean-going vessels: Elizabeth G, Emma Jane and the more recent addition Lucy Mary. Each vessel is equipped for comfort and safety with ensuite cabins, deep-draft hulls, and a highly experienced crew; a Skipper, Wildlife Guide, Chef, and Steward ensuring that every voyage is personal, relaxed, and expertly guided.
Cruise itineraries cover a wonderful variety of Hebridean destinations. Guests may sail around Mull and its offshore isles, visit the Small Isles, including Muck, Eigg, Rum and Canna, or head further out to iconic and more remote locations like St Kilda. “mini-cruises”, for example three-night escapes, explore calm sea lochs, sea lochs, castles, lighthouses and sheltered anchorages, where dolphins, otters, eagles and other wildlife are often sighted. On longer cruises, there are opportunities for guided shore-walks, kayaking, paddle-boarding, or simply enjoying the ever-changing seascape from deck or saloon, all while savouring locally sourced meals prepared onboard.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021.Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels.
We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
