Hi everyone!
In this week's video we start off our new Royal Caribbean vlog series with our embarkation day on the newly refurbished ship, Allure of the Seas. We were welcomed aboard on the Royal Promenade with Journey's 'Don't stop believing' playing!
We get our first view of the promenade with all the balloons set up for the midnight balloon drop. We complete our muster and then start the day with a cocktail 'painchiller' at the new bar on board the Pesky Parrot. We really enjoyed the drink, vibe and seats in here and also Brad the parrot!
We start to explore the ship and go to the Mason Jar to secure a brunch booking for later in the week. It was then time to relax so we had a few cocktails at the Lime and Coconut and relaxed on the pool deck, in the whirlpool and in the Solarium. The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day and this was a fantastic start to our cruise!
It was then time to go to our cabin, we do have a separate cabin tour video and review if you'd like to check it out. We were staying in an ocean view balcony cabin 8292 -

We unpacked and got ready for the evening's activities. We went back to the pool deck as there was meant to be a sailaway party but we weren't sailing away and there didn't seem to be anything other than music playing so we decided to move on this time. We went to the Bow and Stern which is the English pub on board. After our drink it was then time for dinner.
We decided to start the cruise with dinner at the Main Dining Room. We had opted in for my time dining but went to the 4th deck Grande restaurant on this occasion. We had a great seat, fantastic food and service. We were really impressed.
We went back to the cabin for a short time to sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by. I was also charging my phone so I could get more pictures of the night haha We then had a stroll through Central Park which still amazes us! You just don't feel like you're on a cruise ship. From there we had a quick drink at Schooner Bar, my absolute favourite cocktail is here - the Tropical Sidecar! We enjoyed these whilst listening to the band on the promenade playing Taylor Swift songs and then Billy Pando sang and played piano.
It was then time for the show we had booked in the aqua theatre, Aqua 80 too so we made our way through the Boardwalk and took our seats. We were enjoying the show, some good music, dancing and impressive stunts but unfortunately due to weather it was postponed. We waited for a while but then decided to leave and as we made our way onto the Boardwalk...it started again! Typical. We did like it but not as much as Hiro on Symphony of the Seas... although I do believe we may have missed a hoverboard/Back to the Future part when we left.
We went to Playmakers and had a drink and played some jenga. We were then both peckish so we got a bratwurst from the Boardwalk Dog House, I think mine may have been a crime against hot dogs! haha We then caught some live music on the Royal Promenade before the midnight balloon drop. We then finished the night with a few slices of pizza from Sorrento's and called it a night!
We had a lot of fun trying to do as much as possible on the first day. #allureoftheseas is such an amazing ship and we can't wait to share more of the #cruisevlogs with you!
