We sailed on Icon of the Seas, the world’s biggest cruise ship, and this is our honest review. From the food and entertainment to the room setup and overall vibe, we’re breaking it all down. Was it worth the hype—or the price? We share what surprised us, what disappointed us, and what we’d do differently next time (ideally there is NO NEXT TIME). If you're considering this mega-ship for your next vacation, this video is for you.
I’m sharing this because ya’ll asked me to. Tbh, I didn't want to take the time to make this video because I'm not going on Royal Caribbean again (unless my mom asks me to).
This is filmed while on Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady’s Celebration Voyage.
INFO ABOUT THE ICON OF THE SEAS CRUISE I WAS ON:
- 7 nights
- Balcony room (with 2 people in it)
- Sailing April 19 - 26, 2025
- To the Caribbean (we only got off the ship at Perfect Day Coco Cay, but I had food poisoning)
My guess is this cruise cost $6,384 for 2 people
Approximate costs were
- $4,000 for the cruise
- $1,484 for the drinks package
- $600 additional paid for drinks (drinks package was for “drinks up to $14” so I paid the difference for drinks above this - i.e. all Moet and Veuve Clicquot)
- $300 (my guess on what Mom paid for our specialty dining)
