A Completely Unexpected Beach Day in Lyttelton, New Zealand! | Norwegian Spirit

Welcome to Lyttelton, New Zealand! Typically this port is the gateway to the beautiful city of Christchurch, but I ended up having a totally unexpected beach day! I woke up with grand plans to do two shore excursions but both of them didn't end up happening. From lines at disembarkation to an hour+ long wait for a shuttle to take us from port to town (a very quick but required trip), everything fell apart so I had to make alternative plans, and it ended up working out better than I expected! Sometimes things don't always go right on a cruise and you have to pivot and adapt to your circumstances and that's exactly what I did. Plenty of good came from it!
