Trying to travel the World on standby is a task less desired to be sure. We left Chicago on the 15th for LA, hoping to leave LA on the 16th to get to Sydney Australia well before it departs Sydney on the 21st. Current situation, if we’re lucky we’ll board a flight to Melbourne in about an hour, in hopes we can get to Sydney the following day…it’s a coin flip at best. If you’re lucky standby can save you a bunch of money, but I promise it’s usually not easy. Pack your luggage with extra patience
