GOOD news for Cruisers, Carnival NEW announcement...
Do you usually skip alcohol when cruising? Well, Carnival’s latest change might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you!
Carnival has just launched a brand-new beverage package called CHEERS! Zero Proof – and it has nothing to do with alcohol.
Sounds tempting, right? For about $30 a day, you’ll get unlimited access to a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks: from soda, fruit juices, espresso coffee, smoothies, and milkshakes, to mocktails and even non-alcoholic champagne.
However, many argue this may not be as great as it sounds and could actually be a clever move by Carnival to squeeze more money out of passengers.
Let’s find out more in today’s episode of Cruise Now!

Carnival cruise passengers now have an all-inclusive beverage option for the drinks they love and expect at sea—without it having to involve alcohol.
“Cheers! Zero Proof is a direct response to what we’ve heard from our guests who want a comprehensive non-alcoholic drink package when they cruise. This new package brings together the abundance of our alcohol-free refreshments with the flexibility and ease that our guests already enjoy with our other beverage packages,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
“It’s a perfect fit for guests interested in an alternative to our traditional CHEERS! package with additional variety compared to our Bottomless Bubbles soda package.”

For those who don’t know or may have forgotten about the traditional Cheers package, it has long been a signature option on Carnival voyages—almost “legendary” for cruisers looking to make the most of their vacation at sea.
Priced around $60–$70 per day, passengers can enjoy wine, beer, cocktails, soda, espresso coffee, smoothies, and even bottled water without worrying about paying for each drink individually. The only limitation is that Carnival caps alcoholic beverages at 15 per day, and requires all guests over 21 in the same cabin to purchase the package—something that often left non-drinkers feeling “forced in.”
