Water Pump Failure on 1VD V8 || 79 Series Landcruiser || Summer Tour

It all starter with a slight harmonic rumble sound. Just shy of 500 kms later .... Well, we made it to Alice Springs in stead of heading west from Ayers Rock. I guess we were fortunate we were able to secure an online booking with the local Toyota franchise a few days after we arrived. I had tremors thinking something more sinister was at play, but as it transpired my initial diagnosis was correct, the water pump no good no more, or more precisely its' bearing.
