Grace Jones was born in Jamaica in 1948 but moved with her family to New York when she was a teenager. She then started off her career modelling in New York and Paris for some big well known fashion houses. She later began her music career in 1977 and quickly became a popular figure of Studio 54 in New York City. Jones released her first Album in 1977 called Portfolio. But arguably it was her 5th studio album called Nightclubbing, released in 1981, that became her most popular and successful Album. One of the songs from this Album was used throughout the 1988 Harrison Ford movie called Frantic, with good effect. This song was "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)". This is the song on Remix in this Short video that shows the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry leaving Devonport Port in the island State of Tasmania, to sail back to the Australian Mainland state of Victoria.
Grace Jones has also been cast in a few movies in her career, and the two that I have seen her in are:
A View to a Kill - The James Bond film and the final one for Roger Moore. She played villain May Day.
Boomerang - This was an Eddie Murphy starring film.
This Short was taken from my full length YouTube video called Watching the huge Ferry leaving Tasmania back to Victoria Australia. This is the Spirit of Tasmania.
