Many cruise passengers wonder whether the spa facilities onboard are free to use?
Unlike the pools, jacuzzis, and solarium areas, most cruise ship spa facilities are not included in the cruise fare. Access to the spa area usually requires purchasing a pass.
However, it doesn’t have to be very expensive if you follow a few simple tips:
First, you can often purchase single-day spa passes instead of paying for access for the entire cruise.
Second, if you are flexible with timing, you may be able to find discounted spa access — sometimes up to 50% off on certain days during the cruise.
Spa facilities vary between ships, but many cruise ship spas include features such as:
• Aroma rooms
• Snow or salt rooms
• Mineral pools
• Heated loungers
• Rain showers
• Saunas and steam rooms
In this video, I explain how cruise spas work and how you can enjoy them without overpaying.
