Alotau is one of the most authentic cruise destinations in the South Pacific, and today I’m showing you how to experience it like a pro. From hidden reef snorkelling and local beers to exploring the vibrant town market and learning about the fascinating history of Milne Bay.
First stop is the tropical escape of **Driftwood Resort PNG**, where you can enjoy lunch, sample local beers, relax on the pier, or jump in the water for some snorkelling. While the coral directly in front of the resort is limited, just nearby there are some incredible reef areas full of colourful tropical fish and marine life — a hidden gem for adventurous cruisers.
