Ship tour! MSC Accessibility Nightmare! 🚢🎢😤♿

Part four of my cruise experience: Taking a tour of the BRAND NEW MSC Grandiosa and uncovering its highs and lows when it comes to accessibility. Starting with some optimism, I explored the boat while most passengers were off in Barcelona. From the massive buffet to a Tokyo-inspired arcade, there were moments of fun and beauty. But as a wheelchair user, there were many challenges. * Bowling alley? Steps. * Bars? Fixed stools that make it impossible to sit close. * Pools and spas? No ramps or wheelchair access anywhere. And this isn’t an old boat, IT’S BRAND NEW!!! With 20% of the population having disabilities, it’s shocking that accessibility is still an afterthought in the cruise industry.
